Synopsis of Committee Amendments

Legislative Service Commission

Sub. S.B. 164
125th General Assembly
(H. State Government)

Adds to the Senate-passed bill a provision that authorizes the sale of beer and wine under a D-4 permit after its location has been transferred under specified conditions (R.C. 4303.17).
Adds to the Senate-passed bill provisions that generally authorize B-2 permit holders to sell wine to retail permit holders, rather than just to specified retail permit holders, and B-5 permit holders to sell wine to wholesale and retail permit holders, rather than just to specified wholesale and retail permit holders (R.C. 4303.07 and 4303.10).
Adds to the Senate-passed bill provisions that generally require retail permit holders, rather than just specified retail permit holders, to purchase (1) beer, wine, and mixed beverages from manufacturers and wholesalers that are A or B permit holders and (2) spirituous liquor from the Division of Liquor Control (R.C. 4303.35).
Substitutes the new version of R.C. 4301.22 for the now dated version of that section in the Senate-passed bill.
