The sales and use tax, the largest GRF tax, conꢀnues to come in above expectaꢀons. This tax had a posiꢀve variance of $34.8 million  
in February, increasing its posiꢀve year-to-date (YTD) variance to $145.4 million (2.0%).  
The personal income tax was preꢁy much on target in February with a posiꢀve monthly variance of $1.5 million. This taxs YTD  
variance at the end of February was a negaꢀve $17.6 million (0.3%).  
The commercial acꢀvity tax had a posiꢀve variance in February of $2.5 million, increasing its posiꢀve YTD variance to $36.3 million  
(3.0%).  
A large ꢀming-related posiꢀve variance in the foreign insurance tax of $64.7 million for the month of February contributed to the  
posiꢀve monthly and YTD variances in total GRF tax revenue.  
YTD GRF Medicaid expenditures were $100.5 million (0.9%) above esꢀmate at the end of February. This posiꢀve variance was offset  
by a negaꢀve variance in non-GRF Medicaid expenditures of $192.9 million (2.4%).  
GRF spending for all other program categories, except for Medicaid, were under esꢀmate YTD. The largest negaꢀve variances were  
for Health and Human Services at $74.9 million (7.2%) and Higher Educaꢀon at $70.6 million (4.4%).
